May 18, 2011

How did other Kara members respond when Koo Ha Ra was chosen to act in City Hunter?

A production report conference for SBS’s drama series City Hunter was held at 2:00 p.m. on May 17 on the 13th floor of the SBS building in Mokdong.

Koo Ha Ra gave her thoughts on her first attempt to act, saying “It’s embarrassing to say, but I’ve actually played in Urakara, a Japanese drama series, with other Kara members. They advised me that I should improve significantly lest I ruin City Hunter.”

Koo added, “When she was young, Park Kyu Ri had opportunities to play in several programs and drama series, so she gave me a bunch of helpful tips.”

Besides the other Kara members, Park Min Young, a leading actor in City Hunter, helped her adjust more easily. “Park goes to the same hair shop as I do, so I have had chances to learn a lot from her.”

In the new series, Koo will play Choi Da Hae, the lively youngest daughter of the president and a repeater of the college entrance exam.

City Hunter is based on the best-selling Japanese cartoon series of the same title. Adopting the existing storyline, which features the satisfactory solution of perplexing incidents, City Hunter will portray the journey of the protagonist as she grows to become an expert at her job. The first episode will be broadest on May 25.
